I’m watching tonight’s Trump press conference following his big wins in Michigan and Mississippi. And he blowing my goddamned mind.
He takes questions, but he doesn’t give a microphone to his questioners. Only he has a mic. He seems to have a crowd there to applaud him whenever he makes a point.
Hillary gave a victory speech while Trump was going, and the networks didn’t even bother with it – he dominates the narrative. And the confusion of the media, the futility of the establishment’s struggle against Trump – it all feeds his narrative. He’s getting stronger.
And he plays the media so brilliantly. He talks about watching golf tournaments in the middle of talking politics. They cover him because they want ratings, and people love to listen to Trump.
I suddenly feel like a fool for even bothering with the Democratic primary. The GOP primary isn’t about conservatism – Trump is the center candidate. But wait for July, just wait for July…
